Sweet 16...how sweet it really is!

A sweet 16th birthday party for one of my clients consisted of two of my best Sweet Treats....Red Velvet cup cakes and decadent brownie lollipops.

I tinted the cream cheese icing on the cupcakes to match the pink theme. They were a great hit. But the birthday girl is a chocolate lover through and through. What better way to celebrate her and her love of chocolate than my fun and over the top taste of brownie lollipops. Each was covered in chocolate and then dipped in several different coatings: Mini Reese's chips, a peanut-pecan nut mix, Heath bar chips and white chocolate chunks.

Yummmm!!!

Is a June bride really in vogue with today's world?

While June is still a very popular month for weddings, it falls to third place behind July and August as the most popular months for a wedding. in 4th and 5th place we find September and October. Some brides are opting for weddings on a Friday or Sunday.

We can credit the change in tradition to several factors.
The expense of a wedding can be dramatically lowered when you plan your special day during a time that might be considered "off season". The factor of money has lead many a bride to opt for a January wedding and a honeymoon in the beautiful warm waters of the Caribbean. The lack of days available in the month of June also push a bride to consider an alternate month. Additionally, a couple may decide to marry on a day that has personal meaning for them.

What month did you have your wedding?

Autsim Site is Making a Difference!

I've had the great honor to design a logo for a new web site that is making a difference in the lives of parents and children dealing with the spectrum of autism. The site will give you some great ideas for working with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorders and also serve as a place to share your own insights. So, check it out!

Anything But Dull

This little pillow shaped magnet I found on my Mom's frige says it all!

We have spent the last weeks of our lives cleaning, decluttering (not really a word) packing and giving away way too many collected things. Some of which we wondered why we had it in the first place, some of which we will never remember we had, some of which was painful to release....to say the least :-/

I'm considering my Mom and I are not dull in any way shape or form!

Published Work

These are a few of my paper crafting projects that have been published. It's so fun to create and be able to see your imaginings (what a wonderful word) come to life.

Baltimore Style & Creating Keepsakes Magazines.

I will post the Pinecone Press books soon. My layouts were choosen to grace the covers of two of the books. I was shocked and so honored.

Always more to come!

Out of the Loop

Hi Everyone,
Yes, I have been very lax in posting so bear with me. I'm currently in TN helping my Mom work on her home. Since I am laid off and able to freelance on my laptop this has been a great time to work and look for a new position. Also nice to visit with dear friends and my loving family.

Hopefully a more interesting update to come.

Thanks to everyone for your never ending support and encouragement!
Love you,
Amy
